Getting Started
Draft Slot is a draft prediction game where you try to predict which players will be selected by which teams in professional sports drafts. Earn points for correct predictions and compete against friends or the global leaderboard.
You can sign up using your email address via a magic link (no password needed), sign in with Google or Apple, or create an account with a traditional password. It's completely free to create an account and play.
We support the NFL Draft, NBA Draft, MLB Draft, and NHL Draft. Each sport has its own unique configuration based on the number of rounds and picks per round.
Yes! Draft Slot is completely free to use. Create entries, join groups, and compete on the leaderboard without paying anything.
Making Predictions
Create an entry by selecting a sport and duration (first pick, first round, etc.), then use our selection interface to predict which player will be picked by which team at each draft position.
Yes, you can update your predictions anytime before the draft begins. Once the draft starts, your entries are locked and can no longer be modified.
Yes! You can create as many entries as you'd like. Try different prediction strategies and see which one performs best.
You can predict a single pick (e.g., #1 overall), the top 10 picks, a full round, or multiple rounds. Each sport has different configurations based on its draft format.
Scoring
You earn points based on the accuracy of your predictions. If a player you predicted was actually drafted within the range of picks your entry covers, you earn 1 point. Correct player + correct team: 2 points. Correct player + correct position: 2 points. Perfect prediction (player, team, and position): 5 points. Only the highest matching rule applies — points are not added together.
Scores are calculated in real-time as each pick is announced during the draft. Watch your score and leaderboard position update live!
Ties are broken by total number of perfect predictions (5-point scores), then by number of 2-point predictions, and finally by submission time (earlier submissions win).
Groups
Groups allow you to compete privately with friends, family, or coworkers. Create a group, share the invite link, and everyone can compare their predictions on a private leaderboard.
When you create a group, you'll receive a unique invite link. Share this link with anyone you want to invite. They'll be able to join instantly after creating an account.
Yes! You can join as many groups as you'd like. Your entries can be associated with multiple groups, and you'll appear on each group's leaderboard.
Sponsored groups are created by businesses and organizations to run branded draft prediction competitions, often with prizes. Look for sponsored groups in the browse section.
For Sponsors
A sponsored group is a branded draft prediction competition created by your business or organization. You can customize the group with your logo, name, and optional prize information. Participants join through your unique invite link and compete on a private leaderboard.
Register for a free sponsor account at our sponsor registration page. Once registered, you can create sponsored groups, upload your logo, and generate invite links to share with your audience.
No, sponsoring a group is completely free. We provide the platform, you provide the audience. There are no setup fees, subscription costs, or hidden charges.
Sponsors are fully responsible for any prizes they choose to offer. Draft Slot provides the competition platform and final standings, but prize selection, fulfillment, and any associated legal requirements are the sponsor's responsibility.
Yes! Your sponsor dashboard shows real-time participation metrics including total entries, unique participants, and leaderboard standings for each of your sponsored groups.
Sponsored groups are semi-private by default. Only people with your invite link can join, but the group appears in search results. Contact us if you need a fully private group that's hidden from browse listings.

No, Draft Slot is a web application that works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. No download required!
We'll send you email notifications for important updates like when a draft is about to start and your final results. You can customize your notification preferences in Settings.
Yes, we take security seriously. We use industry-standard encryption and offer passwordless sign-in via magic links and social login for convenience. Password authentication is also available. We never sell your personal information.
